Privacy Policy

This page explains what radicalifs.com knows about you, why, and who else sees it. I've tried to write it in plain English.

Your information will never be sold. I share it only with the services listed below, which run parts of the site for me.

Your account

When you make an account, you give an email address, and you can add your name. You can sign in with a password, with a one-time code emailed to you, or with Google. Sign-in is handled by a service called Clerk, which keeps your account details. I never see your password.

If you buy a course without signing in, your account is made from the email you give at checkout, and you sign in with a code emailed to you.

Payments

Payments happen on Stripe's own checkout page. Stripe takes your card details, and my site never receives them. Stripe sends your receipt.

From Stripe I get your email address, what you bought, and the amount. For a course, the site keeps only a record that your account has access, from when, and until when. For a live class, it also keeps your name, email and the amount you paid.

If you pay for a class directly, by PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or Wise, that service has your payment details under its own privacy policy.

Videos and files

Course videos play from a video service called Bunny. The link the site gives you works for a short time and doesn't contain your name or email. Bunny counts plays and watch time for each video, not for each person. The site doesn't record which lessons you've watched.

Each PDF you download is prepared for you. Your name is in the file name, and your name, email and account number are hidden inside the file. If a copy turns up where it shouldn't, this tells me whose copy it was.

Recorded classes

Before you register for a recorded Open Class, you sign a recording consent. I keep a permanent record of it: your typed name, the date and time, the version of the agreement you signed, and your internet address and browser type, as proof of the signature. A copy of the signed agreement is emailed to you.

I never put class recordings through face-recognition or voice-recognition software.

Waiting lists

If you join a class waiting list, I keep your name, email and any note you write. Your first name appears on the list on that class page. Your last name, email and note stay private.

Emails

The site sends a few emails from hello@radicalifs.com, through a service called Resend: your class confirmation, and course credit codes. Sign-in codes come from Clerk, and receipts come from Stripe. I may also write to you about a course or class you bought. The site sends no marketing email.

The newsletter sign-up at the bottom of each page goes straight to Substack. My site doesn't keep that email address; Substack does, under its own privacy policy.

If you ask me never to email you, I put your address on a do-not-contact list. The site checks that list before every email it sends.

Visits and errors

Vercel Web Analytics counts visits: which pages are read, where visitors came from, and their country and type of device. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.

When something on the site breaks, an error report goes to a service called Sentry so it can be fixed. A few kinds of payment problem include the buyer's email in that report. Nothing else about you goes in.

I use Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to help me run the site. It can read those error reports and a weekly sales report, which include buyers' email addresses.

Cookies

The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, Clerk sets cookies that keep you signed in. If you sign a recording consent, the site sets one cookie that remembers it for 60 days.

Some pages show YouTube videos, and the booking calendar comes from Calendly. Those come from YouTube and Calendly, under their own privacy policies.

Keeping and deleting

I keep your account and purchase records while the site runs, so your access works and I can answer questions about an order. Signed recording consents are kept permanently, because they are the permission for the recording.

If you'd like your account deleted, write to me at hello@radicalifs.com and I'll delete it. I'll keep only payment records and any recording consent you signed.

Your information is stored in the United States.

Children

The site is for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
