This IFS Demonstration is for you!
A firefighter, Rhino, goes back in time to witness an incident of abandonment that my mother experienced when she was seven.
This legacy burden of abandonment, unbeknownst to me, was being carried by a firefighter for decades!
This IFS session features a complete unburdening from start to finish, including negotiations about concerns that I’ll lose my connection to my mother if unburden what I’ve been carrying on her behalf.
It also illustrates how protectors also need to unburden, not just exiles!
It’s also a deep dive into the questions protectors have about what will happen to them after an unburdening, and how they can imagine new roles for themselves in a more unburdened system.
This IFS session runs for 40 minutes. This course includes both the IFS session and a Q & A about the video also.
Transcripts of both the video and Q & A are also included.
